Pandan Simple Syrup Recipe

Pandan has quickly become one of our favorite flavors to work with in cocktails (and coffee!). It’s slightly grassy, but reminiscent of vanilla and pairs well with other tropical flavors like coconut.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2–3 Pandan leaves, cut to fit in your pot (fresh or frozen). 
  • 1/2 cup water 
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan bring water to a boil. 
  2. Remove from heat, add sugar to dissolve. 
  3. Then, while the mixture is still hot add pandan leaves, cover and steep for 45 minutes.
  4. Strain into a clean bottle and store in the fridge for up to 7 days. 

Notes

We found frozen Pandan leaves at our local Asian market in the freezer section. The brand was called,  “Asian Best”.
