Pairs well with summer!
Our go-to takeout experience during shelter in place has been grabbing food from a local Caribbean BBQ spot and making Planter’s Punch to go with it—feels like we’re back in Belize (minus the sunburns). And for us, that’s what tiki is all about. This recipe follows the classic rhyming formula: ‘one of sour, two of sweet, three of strong, four of weak.’
INGREDIENTS:
1 oz fresh lime juice
3/4 oz Demerara syrup
1/4 oz St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram
3 oz Plantation Rum Aged 5 Years
2 dashes Angostura bitters (Japanese bitters dasher we use Here)
Garnish: mint sprig, @surfsidesips bamboo straw
DIRECTIONS:
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with cracked ice and shake for 10 seconds. Open pour into a Collins glass and top with more ice if needed. Add garnish.
