Bitter Mai Tai

Happy National Mai Tai Day! The classic Mai Tai is probably the tiki cocktail we make the most for ourselves at home, but we’re always down to riff it up. This version, created by bartender Jeremy Oertal, uses Campari to add a bitter complexity to the drink.

INGREDIENTS:
1 oz Campari (@campariofficial)
1 oz Jamaican rum (@hausalpenz Smith & Cross)
1/2 oz Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao
1/2 oz orgeat (Liber & Co)
1 oz lime juice
Garnish: half of a spent lime shell, mint sprig, Surfside Sips straw

DIRECTIONS:
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with crushed ice and shake well. Open pour into rocks glass and top with more ice. Add garnish.
