Demerara Dry Float

We dig everything about the Demerara Dry Float. It’s a tart bomb that’s strong and tiki af despite being fairly no-frills—the only garnish needed is a float of more rum. Oh and a straw to suck it all down. We prefer to sip some of the cocktail before floating the overproof Demerara rum and slowly mixing it in. But you do you.

Demerara Dry Float

Ingredients

3/4 oz Lemon Hart 151 (@rumalways) 
1 1/2 oz lime juice 
1/2 oz lemon juice 
1 1/2 oz passionfruit syrup 
1/4 oz Demerara syrup 
1/4 oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur (@luxardoofficial) 
1 1/2 oz blended aged rum (@plantation.rum 5 Yr) 
Garnish: none other than a Surf Side Sips straw  

Instructions

Set aside Lemon Hart 151 in a shot glass or mini tiki mug. Combine all other ingredients in a shaker with about 12 oz of crushed/cracked ice. Shake and open pour into a glass (top with more ice if needed). Add straw.
